Upcoming Weekly Programs at the North Shore Children’s Museum

We are pleased to offer many weekly programs and special events throughout the month. With the help of our wonderful, creative partners and support from donors, the majority of our programs are free with the purchase of admission. Upcoming events are listed below. STEAM CLUB for Website - March 2024

Special Event – Noon Year’s Eve Pajama Party

Tuesday, December 31, 2024. 10AM-12PM

Ring in the New Year at noon with North Shore Children’s Museum! You and a special stuffed animal friend are invited to celebrate with us. Tickets include access to our 14 different exhibits, a New Year’s Magic Show with special guest Tom Foolery, New Year’s crafts, and dancing. We will end the party with a countdown to noon and ball drop! 

Tickets to this special event are $15/person for non-members, and $7/person for NSCM members. Tickets are available online now while supplies last at nschildrensmuseum.org

Upcoming Programs – Week of December 15, 2024

Wed 12/18: Art with Kate. Join art teacher and NSCM staff member Kate for a fun morning of crafting. Today we will be exploring winter watercolors. This program is appropriate for pre-k aged guest and older.

Fri 12/20: Join Miss Shelley for kids yoga and mindfulness this Friday at 10AM. Take some time during this busy month to breathe and move your body.

Sat 12/21: Low-sensory Play Session, 2-4PM. Created for our friends with autism and sensory processing disorders, we have reduced the number of tickets available for this play session, and will dim lights and sounds to become a more welcoming environment. You do not need a formal diagnosis to attend this play session. If you have any questions about our low-sensory play sessions, please reach out to us at nscminfo@peabody-ma.gov.

Tickets for our low-sensory play session are limited, and available online now. There may be some tickets in person on Saturday, depending upon pre-sale numbers.

Upcoming Programs – Week of December 22, 2024

North Shore Children’s Museum will be closed to the public on December 25 and December 26.

Fri 12/27: Join Coach Luke of Danvers Indoor Sports for a morning of sports exploration in our program space here at NSCM. We can’t wait for you to come and get active with us!

Sat 12/28: New Year’s Crowns Craft. Join us during any of our play sessions on Saturday, December 28 and decorate a special New Year’s crown in our makerspace.

Sun 12/29: Legopalooza. We are excited to be able to offer a vast array of Legos for kids to build with in our back party room from 1-4PM. Please note that Lego Bricks are rated for ages 4 and up. Special thanks to friend of North Shore Children’s Museum Ryan for generously donating the Legos for this program!

SPECIAL HOURS: North Shore Children’s Museum will be open specially on Monday, December 30 with two play sessions; 9AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM.

Upcoming Programs – Week of December 29, 2024

Mon 12/30: SPECIAL HOURS – NSCM will be open with two play sessions on Monday, December 30 from 9AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM.

North Shore Children’s Museum will be closed on Wednesday, January 1. Happy New Year!

Sat 1/4/2025:  Join us this Saturday at 10AM for Music and Movement with MaryBeth Maes. MaryBeth will be here with her guitar and kid’s instruments to sing, dance, and play with you!

Wed 1/8: Join Mini Movers Director Jackie for a morning of playful movement. Jackie will have your kiddo moving and grooving to the music in no time!

Fri 1/10: Art with Kate. Join art teacher and NSCM staff member Kate for a fun morning of crafting! This program is appropriate for pre-k aged guest and older.

Sun 1/12: Sunday STEAM Club for ages 5+. Come explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math with our NSCM staff! Every STEAM club session will see your kids participating in hands-on activities while exploring a new topic.
